Clippers' Luc Mbah a Moute: Will battle for starting small forward job
Mbah a Moute will have a chance to battle for a starting job, with coach Doc Rivers indicating Monday that the competition for the small forward job is "wide open," Dan Woike of the Orange County Register reports.
Analysis:
The Clippers expect to use plenty of different lineup combinations throughout training camp and perhaps into the regular season, so look for Mbah a Moute, Wesley Johnson and Alan Anderson to all get a shot at claiming a starting role. Mbah a Moute spent the majority of his 2015-16 campaign on the top unit, starting in 61 of his 75 games. However, he still averaged just 17.0 minutes per game and wasn't very involved offensively, so it will be difficult to wring much fantasy value out of him even if he holds down a regular starting role again during the upcoming season.
