Report: Tristan Thompson to miss 2 games with sore foot
The Cleveland Cavaliers won't take any chances in meaningless preseason games.
Power forward Tristan Thompson is experiencing soreness in his left foot, and as a precautionary measure, he'll be held out for the next two games, sources told ESPN's Chris Haynes.
An MRI on Thompson's foot came back clean, according to Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal.
Cleveland's next two games will be played against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, and the Atlanta Hawks next Monday.
Thompson also sat for the Cavaliers' first taste of preseason against the Orlando Magic.
Given that Thompson's spent the entirety of his five-year career in Cleveland, missing a small portion of preseason shouldn't have much of an effect on his game.
However, Thompson in a suit is a strange sight: The 25-year-old hasn't missed a regular-season game in four seasons.
