Jazz's Gordon Hayward: Will miss time with dislocated finger
Hayward dislocated a finger on his left hand and is expected to miss time, Chris Haynes of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis:
It's not the best way for Hayward to start out the season as he plays for a new contract, but the injury isn't something that figures to sideline him for a major chunk of the season. However, while an official timetable for his return hasn't been made available, it's still likely that Hayward will be looking at a multi-week absence, potentially sidelining him for the start of the regular season. If Hayward is indeed out of commission, Joe Johnson would be the most likely candidate to enter the starting lineup, while reserves like Joe Ingles and Alec Burks (ankle) could see some expanded time on the wing.
