The issue includes an article by Paul Solotaroff about how Durant "(blew) up his life" in leaving the Oklahoma City Thunder in free agency in order to "get his shot" of winning a title with the Golden State Warriors.
He becomes the fifth hooper to grace the magazine's cover, following in the footsteps of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Shaquille O'Neal, Dennis Rodman, and the GOAT, Michael Jordan.
Durant's former teammate, Russell Westbrook, is the November cover boy for another magazine, GQ.
