Report: Celtics' Smart could miss several weeks with ankle injury
Boston Celtics point guard Marcus Smart left Wednesday's preseason game against the New York Knicks with a left ankle injury and could miss a couple of weeks of action, according to CSN's A. Sherrod Blakely.
Smart left the game in the second quarter after rolling his ankle on Justin Holiday's foot. He did not return.

The reported timetable almost certainly will keep Smart out of Boston's season opener next Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets and beyond. Smart missed 15 games in his rookie season two years ago because of a left ankle injury, and more last season with a left leg issue.
