We all lost a close friend Thursday when Twitter announced it's killing Vine, the short-form video app that has so wonderfully accompanied basketball's greatest moments since January 2013.

Let us all take a second or six to pay our respects to one of the NBA's best friends through looping videos. Legends never die - or, at least, Twitter says the Vines will remain available to watch and download after the app is shuttered.
