Report: Stephenson to miss 'weeks, not days' after undergoing surgery
The New Orleans Pelicans could be without a key bench contributor for the foreseeable future.
Lance Stephenson, who is set to undergo surgery for a groin injury, is expected to miss "weeks, not days" league sources tell ESPN's Justin Verrier.

Stephenson underwent an MRI on Saturday after suffering the injury in Friday's contest against the Phoenix Suns.
The 26-year-old has been solid in his first six games with the Pelicans, averaging 9.7 points, 4.8 assists, 3.3 rebounds on 47.3 percent from the floor.
The Pelicans are besieged with injuries as Jrue Holiday, Tyreke Evans. and Quincy Pondexter all continue to recover.
New Orleans (0-6) is still looking for its first win of the season.
