Nuggets hope to have Barton back in 7-10 days
The Denver Nuggets are hoping to have injured shooting guard Will Barton back within the next seven-to-10 days, head coach Mike Malone told Chris Dempsey of the Denver Post.
Barton has been out of the Nuggets' lineup after suffering a sprained ankle against the Toronto Raptors last week.
In three games this season, the 25-year-old is averaging 18.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.7 assists, while shooting 50.0 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from distance.
The 6-foot-6 guard is coming off of his best season as a pro, where he put up career highs in points per game (14.4), rebounds per game (5.8), and assists per game (2.5), while finishing fourth in Sixth Man of the Year voting.
Denver (3-3) has played well in Barton's absence, going 2-1.
