Blazers' Ezeli hit setback in rehab; no timetable for return
Festus Ezeli has still yet to suit up for the Portland Trail Blazers, and it's unclear when he finally will.
Ezeli - who signed a two-year, $15-million contract with the Blazers this past offseason - suffered a setback last month in his recovery from a left knee procedure, CSN's Jason Quick reports.
The 27-year-old center underwent a bone marrow aspirate injection in late August, and had to scale back his rehab after experiencing swelling when he participated in two mid-October practices. There is no timetable for his return.
"I practiced, and that's what happens sometimes - it reacts, swells up, you go back, regress, and come back," Ezeli told Quick on Tuesday night.
"I'm just continuing to work and grind through this rehab. That's all I can do."
Ezeli has battled knee injuries since being drafted by the Golden State Warriors in 2012. He's missed 154 games the past three years, including the entire 2013-14 season due to left knee surgery.
