Hornets' Roy Hibbert: Comes off bench in return
Hibbert (knee) played 13 minutes off the bench in Friday's 113-111 win over the Raptors, producing 10 points (3-5 FG, 4-4 FT), two rebounds and one assist.
Analysis:
The Hornets restricted Hibbert's playing time in his first game back from a sore knee, which had sidelined him for five straight contests, but the 7-foot-2 center looked good during his brief time off the bench. Hibbert had started the Hornets' first two games of the season, but once his restrictions are lifted, it's uncertain if he'll be able to wrest the top-unit duties away from Cody Zeller, who seems to be the higher-upside option of the two. Even if he does eventually start again for the Hornets, Hibbert would likely be deployed in a timeshare with Zeller and wouldn't frequently challenge for 30-plus minutes.
