Westbrook 1st player in 55 years to average triple-double entering December

With his fourth rebound of the night Wednesday against the Washington Wizards, Russell Westbrook ensured he'll be the first player since Oscar Robertson in 1961 to average a triple-double entering December.
The 6-foot-3 guard is currently searching for his fourth straight triple-double - one away from the longest streak of his career.
The five-time All-Star has put up monster numbers across the board in 2016-17, averaging 30.9 points, 11.3 assists, 10.3 rebounds, and 1.3 steals entering Wednesday. Adjusting for Robertson's possessions, Westbrook would be averaging a ludicrous line of 46.6 points, 17 assists, and 15.6 rebounds.

More importantly, Westbrook's terrific individual effort has translated to wins, as the Thunder rank sixth in the West despite losing Kevin Durant this summer.
The 6-foot-3 guard still has a long way to go before becoming the second player in league history to average a triple-double, but as he's shown this season, anything is possible.
