Hornets' Williams injures knee vs. Knicks
Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports
Charlotte Hornets power forward Marvin Williams suffered a hyper-extended left knee Friday against the New York Knicks and won't return.
Williams landed awkwardly after colliding with Kristaps Porzingis, and limped to the locker room early in the third quarter.
Charlotte felt the veteran's absence immediately, as the Knicks outscored the Williams-less Hornets 25-12 to close out the frame.
He recorded eight points, two boards, and a block in 16 minutes.
