76ers recall Noel from D-League
Nerlens Noel is rejoining the Philadelphia 76ers.
The team recalled the big man Thursday after sending him to its D-League affiliate a day earlier for rehab.
Noel has been working his way back after undergoing knee surgery about a month and a half ago. The 22-year-old took part in a limited practice in Delaware, and was spotted shooting and participating in 5-on-0 drills at the Sixers' practice court Thursday afternoon.
There's still no timetable for Noel to make his season debut, but it likely won't happen in the next week.
"I think Nerlens is a ways away," head coach Brett Brown said after practice, as quoted by Tom Moore from Bucks County Courier Times. He added he doesn't expect the center to be available for the next "four or five games."
