Westbrook just happy to get win as triple-double streak ends at 7
Russell Westbrook's seven-game triple-double streak - the longest any NBA player had put together in nearly three decades - came to an end Sunday night, two games shy of Wilt Chamberlain's all-time record.
Instead, Westbrook had to settle for 37 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, two steals, the game-winning driving layup, and an incredible game-clinching jump ball in a 99-96 comeback victory over the Boston Celtics.

After the emotional teeter-totter of a game, falling short of an eighth straight triple-double was the last thing on Westbrook's mind.
"I don't care about that streak, man, I'm just happy we won," Westbrook said in his on-court interview.
"That's a small part of my game. I'm just happy we won tonight."
Not all his teammates agreed.

Oftentimes the wins and the triple-doubles go hand in hand. The Thunder amazingly went 18-0 last season when Westbrook reached the statistical benchmark, and they're 9-3 in such games this season.
Triple-double or no, the Thunder have now won seven of their last eight games, turning things around after a stretch that saw them drop seven of nine.
