Lakers' Timofey Mozgov: Double-doubles in loss
Mozgov put up 12 points (4-10 FG, 4-6 FT), 13 rebounds, a steal and a block Wednesday in a 97-107 loss to the Nets.
Analysis:
NBA Champion Timofey Mozgov played 33 minutes Wednesday, an uptick from the norm for him, probably due to his ability to match up with Nets' seven-footer Brook Lopez. Mozgov did the dirty work well, as he's known to do, finishing with double-digit rebounds before the half. But he passed up a ton of bunnies from around the basket, as he's also known to do, and didn't record double-digit points until late in the game at the free-throw line. If Mozgov wants to see more consistent court time, he has to be more assertive when he catches the ball in the paint.
