Celtics' Thomas says he'll play Friday vs. Hornets

Isaiah Thomas says his absence is over, the diminutive Boston Celtics guard insisting that he will play Friday when the Celts host the Charlotte Hornets.
"I'll be suited and booted tomorrow and ready to help my team win," Thomas said Thursday, according to the Boston Globe's Gary Washburn.
Thomas has missed the last four games with a groin strain, and the Celtics are 1-3 without him. Despite some fan restlessness in New England regarding the Celtics' talent, the 5-foot-9 Thomas remains their leading scorer.
Offensively, the Celtics are 5.4 points per 100 possessions better with Thomas on the floor. However, their opponents improve as well - to the tune of eight points per 100, according to Basketball-Reference.
