Bulls' Mirotic may be fined for missing team walkthrough
Chicago Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic had a giant brain fart on Friday afternoon, hours ahead of his team's game against the visiting Milwaukee Bucks at the United Center.
The 25-year-old Spaniard simply forgot to attend the Bulls' walkthrough, according to the team's public relations. His absence was unexcused, with head coach Fred Hoiberg telling reporters that it's a "fineable offense."
Mirotic was a DNP-CD for the Bulls' 108-97 loss to the Bucks on Thursday.
"As of right now, it's a game-by-game basis," Hoiberg said of Mirotic's status in his rotation.
His offensive production has been on a steady decline through the first 24 games of the regular season, averaging career lows of 8.7 points on 38.1 percent shooting from the field and 28.4 percent from 3-point range.
