Pacers' Monta Ellis: Officially ruled out Tuesday
Ellis has been officially ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Knicks, Wheat Hotchkiss of Pacers.com reports.
Analysis:
Ellis had already been ruled out for Monday's game against the Wizards, and it was expected that he'd also sit out Tuesday, as he's yet to resume on-court activity while battling a right groin strain. While the team makes the trip to New York, the veteran guard will remain in Indianapolis to receive treatment in hopes of potentially returning Thursday against Boston. However, after that contest. the Pacers are off until Monday, so it seems rather likely that Ellis, who said Monday that he could miss at least another week, would be given the extra few days to recover.
