Durant 'looking forward to' playing Cavs again
Kevin Durant is new to this Golden State Warriors-Cleveland Cavaliers rivalry, and after his baptism on Christmas Day, he's looking for more.
"It's amazing," Durant told The Undefeated's Marc J. Spears. "Every time you get to play in this atmosphere, it's incredible. I'm looking forward to the next one. It's fun. I wish that we could keep playing."
Cleveland escaped with a 109-108 win Sunday, extending their winning streak over the Warriors to four games including last June's finals. It wasn't without subplots or controversy however, as Durant was tripped by Richard Jefferson in the final seconds, costing him a good look.
On Monday, the NBA admitted in its last-two-minute report that a foul should've been called on Jefferson. Durant wasn't too upset, though, knowing the nature of these games.
"I would've made that shot if he didn’t trip me up," Durant said. "But they ain't calling it on him at their crib. It's not his fault. It's not the refs fault, either."
The Cavaliers and Warriors meet for the second and final time during the regular season Jan. 16 in Oakland.
