Report: Hawks have begun listening to offers for Millsap, others
Paul Millsap could soon find himself out of Atlanta.
With Millsap apparently set to opt out of his contract at the conclusion of the season, the Hawks have started listening to trade offers for the 31-year-old, sources tell ESPN's Brian Windhorst and Marc Stein.
However, sources tell Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitutional, that Millsap hasn't made a decision about opting out, and the Hawks have yet to open trade discussions.
The Hawks are not openly shopping Millsap, but are taking calls on him, along with fellow soon-to-be free agents Kyle Korver and Thabo Sefolosha.
After losing longtime big man Al Horford for nothing last offseason, the Hawks are reportedly intent on getting some sort of return for the 10-year veteran.
Rival teams have told ESPN that the Hawks' asking price for Millsap is too high, making a trade unlikely.
The 6-foot-8 forward has been stellar for the Hawks this season, averaging 17.4 points, eight rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.6 steals, and 0.9 blocks on 44.2 percent shooting.
The Toronto Raptors and Denver Nuggets have reportedly expressed interest in Millsap in the past.
Millsap has a player option for $21,472,407 next season that he will opt out of this summer, league sources tell ESPN's Chris Haynes.
