Bogut 'will most likely move on' from Mavs in free agency

Andrew Bogut's time in Dallas will be short-lived, according to the Australian big man himself.

"Thankfully I'm a free agent here so I only have a couple of months more here and then will most likely move on," Bogut told Sky Sports Radio, according to news.com.au's Jai Bednall. "I don't see myself hanging around with everything that's gone on. It will be an interesting six months ahead."

Earlier this week, Bogut requested to be moved from the starting lineup to the bench, given the fact he's found himself riding the pine more since Dirk Nowitzki's return to the lineup anyway. "There's no point of starting with Dirk and then getting pulled 30 seconds into a game," Bogut said at the time.

The 32-year-old, 12-year veteran is averaging a career-low 3.3 points to go along with 9.7 rebounds and 2.2 assists in just under 24 minutes per game, while blocking less than one shot per game for the first time in 10 years.

Bogut had started 648 out of 662 games before coming off the bench in Wednesday's win over Washington. He was traded to the Mavericks for a future second-round draft pick during the Golden State Warriors' offseason pursuit of Kevin Durant. The former All-NBA center will earn just over $11 million this season - the last year of his contract.
