NBA unveils All-Star Game uniforms

Twitter

The NBA's All-Stars will take the court in New Orleans for the third time since 2008 on Feb. 19, with the West wearing charcoal gray and the East wearing light gray at Smoothie King Center.

John Reid of The Times-Picayune reports that the West's jerseys will feature red numbers trimmed in gold, while the East's will feature blue numbers trimmed in white. Both uniforms will have an "aged metal design treatment" across the font outlines with custom conference badges on the shorts, paying tribute to the city's French-inspired ironwork.

The All-Star Game was supposed to be played in Charlotte this year, but commissioner Adam Silver moved the marquee event to protest North Carolina's controversial state law that eliminated anti-discrimination protections for the LGBT community.
