Watch: Nate Robinson hints at NBA comeback on Instagram
The Nate Robinson comeback watch is officially underway.
The diminutive 5-foot-9 point guard last played in the National Basketball Association on Oct. 28, 2015 as a member of the New Orleans Pelicans, picking up a single assist in four minutes of action. He was waived shortly thereafter.
In an Instagram post from earlier in the week, the 32-year-old put together a video compilation of his ongoing training regime, with the caption teasing that he's working toward returning to the NBA.
Robinson recently pursued a career in the NFL, which ultimately took him nowhere. He most recently competed for Hapoel Tel Aviv of the Israeli Basketball Premier League, averaging 16.2 points, 1.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.
Selected 21st overall in the 2005 NBA draft, Robinson has suited up for the Pelicans, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics, Oklahoma City Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls, Denver Nuggets, and Los Angeles Clippers over an 11-year career, averaging 11 points and three dimes in 618 total games.
