LeBron: 'I don't have the patience' to be a head coach
David Fizdale - the current head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies and former assistant with the Miami Heat - said in December that four-time league MVP LeBron James doesn't have it in him to be a head coach after his playing days are over, suggesting James "would kill somebody" because The King demands perfection.
It's safe to say James and his former coach are on the same page there.
When asked if he thinks he'll be working the sidelines one day, James' response was blunt.
"No. No, no. I don't have the patience," he said hours prior to the Cleveland Cavaliers' road game against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday night. "I can't even coach my own son's team, so I know I couldn't coach some guys that I don't know. Can't do it."
He may not aspire to be a coach, but by averaging 26.1 points, 8.4 assists, and 7.9 rebounds for the best team in the Eastern Conference, at least he has being a megastar down pat.
