After trading Kyle Korver to the Cleveland Cavaliers last week, the Atlanta Hawks are in the market for a cheap replacement.
The Hawks worked out journeyman shooting guard Gary Neal this week, and are "strongly leaning" toward signing him to a 10-day contract, ESPN's Marc Stein reports.
In half a season with the Washington Wizards last year, Neal played some of the best ball of his career, averaging 9.8 points in 20.2 minutes (17.4 per 36) with a .465/.410/.855 shooting line.
The 32-year-old recently joined the Texas Legends, the Dallas Mavericks' D-League affiliate. He's averaged 21 points and four assists in two games with the club.
