Report: Jeanie Buss meets with Magic Johnson
A pair of Los Angeles Lakers icons got to brainstorming.
Co-owner Jeanie Buss is looking for consultation over the direction of the Lakers and she met with Hall of Famer Magic Johnson on Tuesday, sources told ESPN's Ramona Shelburne.
Johnson later shared a picture of the two taking in the Lakers-Nuggets game.
Buss and Johnson were accompanied by Linda Ramis and Johnson's agent having dinner at the Staples Center. It's unclear as to what they discussed.
The Lakers have added several talented prospects through the draft in recent years, but the iconic franchise is set for its fourth straight trip to the lottery. That puts co-owner Jim Buss in a bind, as he promised to have the team headed in the right direction by this summer. Jeanie, who has mostly tended to the business side of the team, may look to change the leadership structure of the team if not enough progress is made.
