Magic's D.J. Augustin: MRI on ankle comes back clean
Augustin's MRI on his sprained right ankle came back negative, and he's being listed as day-to-day in advance of Tuesday's game against the Bulls, Chris Haynes of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis:
The MRI clarified that Augustin isn't dealing with a significant injury after he was forced out of Sunday's loss to the Warriors, but he still could be forced to miss some games. Though he's still viewed as questionable for Tuesday's game against the Bulls, it wouldn't be surprising if he's unable to play in that contest. If that's the case, backcourt starters Elfrid Payton and C.J. Watson would both be in line for major minutes, while Mario Hezonja would pick up some added run off the bench.
