Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard C.J. McCollum will once again participate in the 3-point contest at this year's All-Star weekend, league sources tell ESPN's Chris Haynes.
McCollum is in the midst of another strong shooting season, hitting 42.1 percent of his attempts from deep - good for 11th in the entire league.
The 25-year-old replaced Chris Bosh at last year's contest, but failed to advance past the opening round, finishing with just 14 points.
The league has yet to announce the participants for this year's event, but there's a strong possibility that Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson will look to defend his title.
The 6-foot-4 shooting guard is averaging a career-high 23.5 points for the Blazers this season.
