Carmelo shakes finger at booing Knicks fans
The New York Knicks faithful at Madison Square Garden aren't afraid to make themselves heard when the team is struggling, which was certainly the case during the opening half Saturday night with the reigning NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers in town.
A spatter of boos could be heard throughout the building as Carmelo Anthony closed out the second quarter with his Knicks down by 21 on the scoreboard.
Before he headed to the charity stripe following a late foul call, Anthony wagged his finger at those voicing their displeasure, whether it was directed at him or the team as a whole.
A late New York comeback made a game of it, but the Knicks ultimately wound up losing their third game in four tries, 111-104.
Anthony had 17 points in 35 minutes, but missed 14 of his 20 shot attempts, and 5-of-6 from 3-point range.
