Green becomes 1st player to record non-points triple-double, sets Dubs steals record
Draymond Green's versatility is often evident in his box scores. That was the case Friday in the Golden State Warriors' rout of the Memphis Grizzlies, where Green recorded a triple-double while only scoring four points.
Surprisingly, it's the first time in NBA history that a player has recorded a triple-double without points being one of the "double," according to Elias Sports.
The two-time All-Star also set a Warriors single-game franchise record with 10 steals - adding 12 rebounds and 10 assists. While Green only scored four points, he had five blocks - meaning he came up only one point shy of an elusive NBA 5x5, something he accomplished in 2015.
The NBA record for steals in a game is 11.
According to ESPN and Elias, Green is only the second player in NBA history to have at least 10 boards, 10 dimes, and 10 steals in a game.
Golden State is now 18-0 all time in the regular season when Green tallies a triple-double.
