NBPA's Roberts wants Melo, Jackson to sit down
NBPA executive director Michele Roberts is getting tired of the public feud between Carmelo Anthony and Phil Jackson.
While she doesn't have the power to make it happen, Roberts is hoping the two can sit down to air out their differences, believing it would be far more effective than taking shots at one another though the media.
"I wish there was an opportunity for Phil and Melo to sit down without this issue or issues being litigated as it were in social media or in the media," Roberts told Dan Le Batard on ESPN Radio. "I wish I could facilitate that. Of course, I can't. I'm not happy about what appears to be a skirmish. I don't know what Jackson's motives are and I've not spoken to Melo about it but what I would love to be able to broker is an opportunity for these men to sit down and figure out what's going on."

Jackson's passive-aggressive attempts at running Anthony out of town have had the opposite effect thus far, as they've reportedly only strengthened the nine-time All-Star's desire to stay in the Big Apple.
Many believe the Knicks president took a shot at Anthony earlier this week when Jackson responded to an article that criticized the 32-year-old's supposed lack of desire to win. Jackson later said the tweet was "misunderstood," telling others to "let it be."
