Report: Oakley, Dolan working toward resolution to MSG ban
Charles Oakley and James Dolan may be trying to mend their relationship and lift the retired player's ban from Madison Square Garden.
The New York Knicks owner and the former All-Star have built "some momentum toward a resolution," sources told ESPN's Ian Begley on Monday.
While it's not clear whether the two have spoken directly, people close to both sides are reportedly pushing to end the public feud. Oakley said last week that Dolan rejected his offer to make up.
Oak was arrested and banned from the Garden last week after he was ejected from Wednesday's nationally televised loss to the Los Angeles Clippers. While that ban remains in effect indefinitely, Dolan did say he hopes to lift it - on one condition.

The businessman said Friday he believes Oakley has "personality problems" that could stem from alcoholism. The Knicks legend denied that Saturday, and in fact claims he helps people battling addiction.
Rev. Al Sharpton demanded Monday that the team owner immediately lift the ban against the beloved Knick. If that doesn't happen, he said his National Action Network will protest outside of the arena.
