Mavs' Williams ejected in first half vs. Celtics
USA Today Sports
The Dallas Mavericks will need a find a way to win without their starting point guard.
Deron Williams was ejected with less than a minute remaining in the first half versus the Boston Celtics after picking up a pair of technicals. The 32-year-old was visibly irate after getting called for an offensive foul moments earlier.
Williams finished the night with just two points, one rebound, one assist, and a steal in 13 minutes of action.
With Williams gone, backup point guard Yogi Ferrell will get another opportunity to prove his worth to those who passed in him in the 2016 Draft.
