Watch: Cousins introduced as a Pelican for the first time
The Boogie and Brow era (or Fire and Ice) is officially underway in the Big Easy.
All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins donned the Mardi Gras colors of the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday night at the Smoothie King Center, suiting up for his new team for the first time against the visiting Houston Rockets.
The 26-year-old was traded by the Sacramento Kings to New Orleans in exchange for Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway, a top-three protected 2017 first-round pick, and a 2017 second rounder.

The New Orleans faithful gave Boogie a rousing ovation as he took the floor during player introductions, still giddy over the potential of pairing him with fellow All-Star Anthony Davis, and the success that may stem from it.
