76ers' Tiago Splitter: Likely to stay with team for remainder of season
According to president Bryan Colangelo, Splitter (calf, hip) will continue to rehab with the team and is hopeful in a return before the end of the season, Jake Fisher of Sports Illustrated reports.
Analysis:
The center has been battling several injuries throughout the season and has yet to take the court as a a result. However, the 76ers are confident that Splitter could return before the end of year and isn't expected to be waived or bought out. Look for more updates on his status to come as the rehab process continues. There are rumblings that fellow big man Andrew Bogut, who was acquired Thursday, will be bought out by the team, leaving Joel Embiid (knee), Jahlil Okafor and Richaun Holmes as the only active centers on the roster.
