Shaq tells Durant to mind his own business in war of words with McGee
Former NBA All-Star and current TNT analyst Shaquille O'Neal respects the fact that Kevin Durant stuck up for his Golden State Warriors teammate JaVale McGee Friday, but would prefer if he didn't stick his nose where it doesn't belong.
Durant took shots at O'Neal in defense of McGee after the two big men engaged in a war of words on Twitter, and the Big Aristotle responded in kind by telling the four-time scoring champion to remove himself from the equation altogether.
According to O'Neal, it's nothing personal against Durant, and he understands why KD said what he said, which included putting down Shaq's skills as a basketball player during his Hall-of-Fame career. Nonetheless, O'Neal's opinion of McGee isn't going to change because of it.
Report: Warriors contact Turner over Shaq's coverage of McGee
The recent beef between O'Neal and McGee stems from a parody of Marvel's Dr. Strange which aired Thursday night on "Inside the NBA" that poked fun at McGee's storied history as a regular on Shaqtin' a Fool.
