The Oklahoma City Thunder had no answer for Anthony Davis.
The 2017 All-Star MVP dropped 24 points in the opening frame Sunday, setting a franchise record for the most points in a single quarter.

Davis, who surpassed his previous single-quarter mark of 21, finished the contest with 38 points, seven rebounds, and four assists, as New Orleans fell 118-110 to Oklahoma City.
The 23-year-old is in the midst of the best statistical season of his career, averaging 27.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.5 blocks, 2.1 assists, and 1.3 steals on 50.1 percent shooting.
With mercurial center DeMarcus Cousins set to serve a one-game suspension, the Pelicans will likely need more of the same from Davis on Wednesday.
