Westbrook ties Wilt for 2nd-most 40-point triple-doubles in NBA history

Russell Westbrook notched his 29th triple-double of the season in Sunday's 118-110 win over the New Orleans Pelicans with a stat line of 41 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. In doing so, Westbrook tied Wilt Chamberlain for second all-time with seven 40-point triple-doubles.

Oscar Robertson is the runaway leader in the category with 22 career 40-point triple-doubles.

Westbrook is on pace for 40 triple-doubles this season, one shy of Robertson's single-season mark. Robertson is the only player in league history to average a triple-double over a full season.

Westbrook's 21 fourth-quarter points Sunday were also the most he's scored in the final period of a game in his career.
