There's a Utah HS player named Stockton Shorts
He's been known in some circles in Utah for a few years now, but it seems national attention has now found 18-year-old Copper Hills high school guard Stockton Shorts:

Yes, that's correct, his middle name is Malone.
The math lines up this way: Stockton Malone Shorts was born in October 1998, right at the peak of the Utah Jazz's heyday with John Stockton and Karl Malone. Shorts' mother, Kelly, says that a chance meeting with the two superstars two years prior sold the parents on the name, she told the Salt Lake Tribune's Kurt Kragthorpe in 2015.
And no, Shorts doesn't wear short shorts.
