Timberwolves' Lance Stephenson: To sign second 10-day contract with Timberwolves
Stephenson (ankle) will sign a second 10-day contract Wednesday with the Timberwolves, Chris Haynes of ESPN reports.
Analysis:
It was reported Monday that Stephenson was "coming along" in his recovery from an ankle injury, and it looks as though he is far enough along to make a return to Minnesota. Stephenson has only made 10 total appearances over the 2016-17 season, but given that the Timberwolves lack ball-handling and playmaking behind starting point guard Ricky Rubio, the swingman could manage to fill that void if he is able to make a full recovery from the injury.
