Watch: Suns' Jones Jr. produces back-to-back monster chase-down blocks

Mark J. Rebilas / USA TODAY Sports

Phoenix Suns rookie forward Derrick Jones Jr. made a name for himself when he finished runner-up in February's Slam Dunk Contest, but if Tuesday night is any indication, he may display even more impressive athleticism when he's keeping the ball out of the hoop than when he's throwing it through.

On consecutive possessions in the third quarter against the Washington Wizards, Jones ran down Bradley Beal in transition and savagely swatted his layup attempts off the backboard to get the Suns going back the other way.
