Kerr fastest coach in American sports history to reach 200 wins
Steve Kerr is pretty darn good at this whole head coaching thing.
With his Golden State Warriors defeating the Houston Rockets (113-106) on Tuesday night at the Toyota Center, Steve Kerr earned the 200th victory of his coaching career in just 238 regular-season games.
This makes him the fastest in the history of American professional sports to reach that milestone.
His career winning percentage of .840 also puts him leaps and bounds ahead of every other coach in NBA history. Coming in second is the Zen Master Phil Jackson at .704 (1,155-485), followed by Billy Cunningham (454-196, .698), and current San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich (1,146-501, .696).

Kerr is also credited with the 39 victories Luke Walton earned as interim coach of the Warriors during the 2015-16 season while Kerr was recovering from back surgery.
Golden State now possesses a record of 60-14, sitting atop the Western Conference with a two-and-a-half-game lead over the Spurs. It's the third year in a row the Warriors have won 60 or more games, which is extra special considering the franchise never hit that mark for 68 years prior.
