Kevin Love teases impending return, but reportedly isn't ready yet
Kevin Love got Cavaliers faithful whipped up into a froth Tuesday afternoon when he posted this uncaptioned Instagram photo of his creamsicle throwback jersey - which the Cavs are wearing for Tuesday night's game against the Detroit Pistons - hinting at an imminent return from the knee injury that has sidelined him for the past month.
Unfortunately, one team source poured cold water on that possibility shortly thereafter, telling Cleveland.com's Joe Vardon that Love is "just excited about getting close" to returning, but isn't there just yet.
Still, the fact that Love is close qualifies as positive news for the Cavs, as he was expected to miss six weeks from the time he underwent arthroscopic surgery on Feb. 14.
The Cavs are 10-9 this season without him, and 33-13 when he's played.
