Batum to undergo brain scan as he deals with migraines

Charlotte Hornets forward Nicolas Batum will miss his second straight game Wednesday night as he deals with persistent and severe migraine headaches.
Batum, the Hornets, and their doctors are taking precautions to make sure the issue isn't more serious, with Batum set to undergo a CT scan on his brain, a source told ESPN's Chris Haynes.
It's been "a scary period" in the midst of the ongoing affliction for Batum, who has described the migraines as "excruciating," the source told Haynes.
Batum has otherwise run a clean bill of health this season, having missed just three games before the migraines forced him to the sideline. He's averaging career highs in points (15.4) and assists (5.9) in 63 games, and the Hornets are 1-3 without him.
