Magic's Elfrid Payton: Double-doubles in win
Payton tallied 10 points (5-9 FG), 13 rebounds, four assists, three steals and one blocked shot over 31 minutes in Monday's 112-109 win over the 76ers.
Analysis:
Payton had one of those rare unconventional double-doubles, pairing his 10 points with 13 rebounds as a point guard. He's been on a tear over the past 10 games, recording three double-doubles and three triple-doubles over that span. While that's common from James Harden or Michael Westbrook, Payton hasn't had that kind of run all year. Payton will likely come back to Earth a bit, bu he'll still maintain a high orbit as the talented third-year starter will continue to play aggressively and produce impressive stat lines until season's end.
