Mavericks' Jarrod Uthoff: To sign for rest of season
Uthoff will sign a contract Wednesday with the Mavericks for the remainder of the season, Marc Stein of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis:
According to Earl K. Sneed of Mavs.com, Uthoff's deal is a multi-year contract, but his salary is likely only guaranteed through the end of the current campaign. Uthoff has only played five total minutes for the Mavericks over the course of his two 10-day deals, but the Mavs have apparently been impressed enough to keep him around for the final two weesk. The former Iowa standout will likely take part in summer league and training camp with the Mavs next fall, but he's far from a lock to open the 2017-18 campaign on the 15-man roster.
