Pacers' Aaron Brooks: Erupts with 18 in loss
Brooks recorded 18 points (6-15 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal over 28 minutes in Wednesday's 110-97 loss to the Grizzlies.
Analysis:
It looked like Brooks wanted to win the game on his own in the first half, as the journeyman point guard drained all four of his 3-pointers and another 2-point shot in the first two quarters. He usually only averages 13.3 minutes of usage behind Jeff Teague, but the team exhausted itself trying to keep up with Mike Conley and as a result, Brooks saw some more time and took advantage of the opportunity. Despite this exceptional outing, Brooks is essentially a role player who has little fantasy value. Unless something happens to Teague, he should remain on the waiver wire.
