Report: Joakim Noah needs another shoulder surgery, out 4-6 months
It just keeps getting worse for New York Knicks center Joakim Noah.
Noah will need surgery to repair a torn left rotator cuff and will miss four-to-six months, sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.
He had the same operation on the same shoulder last year, which ended his tenure with the Chicago Bulls. Despite Noah's extensive injury history, the Knicks still chose to lavish the 32-year-old with a $72-million contract.
Those woes continued to plague Noah, who underwent arthroscopic knee surgery on his left knee in late February. While recovering from that injury, Noah was banned 20 games after testing positive for a banned supplement.
Noah's effectiveness has diminished tremendously over the past three seasons. He went from being the Defensive Player of the Year in 2014 to averaging 5.9 points per game on 44.7 percent shooting in the three years thereafter.
