Son of Bulls' Hoiberg to walk on at Michigan State
The Hoiberg name will write a new chapter in the history of college basketball next season.
Jack Hoiberg, the son of current Chicago Bulls head coach and former Iowa State star Fred Hoiberg, announced Sunday via Twitter that he's agreed to join Michigan State as a walk-on next season.

Hoiberg had originally committed to a golf scholarship at South Dakota, according to Brendan F. Quinn of Mlive.com.
Basketball runs deep in the Hoiberg family. Fred Hoiberg was an accomplished college player at Iowa State before returning to coach the Cyclones to four consecutive NCAA tournament appearances following a 10-year NBA playing career.
