McCollum tweets he'd like to see Blazers pursue Paul George
C.J. McCollum would love to play with Paul George.
During an impromptu Twitter Q&A with fans Thursday, the Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard was asked who he'd like to see his club go after this offseason in the draft or free agency.
With no apparent regard for the NBA's anti-tampering rule, McCollum replied with George's Twitter handle:
One of the premier two-way players in the league, George would no doubt help take pressure off McCollum and Damian Lillard. However, the All-Star small forward is currently under contract with the Indiana Pacers through 2018-19, with a player option on the final year.
Trade rumors have surrounded him for some time, especially ahead of February's trade deadline, linking him to several clubs including his hometown Los Angeles Lakers.

Both the Trail Blazers and Pacers were eliminated from the playoffs earlier this week in first-round sweeps. The quick exit was especially disappointing for the Blazers, who have the second-highest payroll in the NBA after investing heavily into the wing positions last summer.
